Ready to ship an order?
When someone buys from your shop, you’ll need a way to send their order.
ShipStation helps you buy shipping labels, track packages, and keep orders moving. Once it’s connected, you’ll be ready to ship to customers.
Where to start
To set up shipping on Trove Market, watch the video below, follow the written steps, or do both.
1. Get ready
Before you can set up shipping on Trove, you’ll need:
- Name
- Email address
- Store name
- Address
- Phone number
- USPS, UPS, or FedEx account information, if you have it
- A credit card or other way to pay for shipping labels
- The weight and size of your products
If you don’t have this, that’s okay. Ask someone you trust for support.
2. Open ShipStation from your Seller Dashboard
- Log into your Trove account.
- Go to Seller Dashboard → Shipping Settings.
- Click Create ShipStation Account.
- A new tab will open. Keep the Trove tab open, too.
3. Create your account
- Enter your information slowly and carefully.
- Use your Trove shop name as the company name. This helps keep your Trove and ShipStation accounts connected clearly.
- Click Create Account.
- Open the email from ShipStation and click the link inside. If you don’t see it, check your spam or junk folder.
- Log into ShipStation.
4. Choose a plan and finish setup
- Look at the plan options. Not sure which one to choose? The free plan is a good place to start. You can always change it later.
- Take a moment to review the terms. When you feel ready, agree to continue.
- Click Enable.
- Add payment information.
- Complete your account details.
- When everything looks correct, click Complete Setup.
5. Verify your identity
ShipStation asks for this information to help protect your account.
- Go to Payments and Subscription.
- Click Verify Now.
- Follow the Plaid steps.
- Note: Plaid helps confirm your identity and protect your account. You may be asked to scan a QR code, upload photos of the front and back of your ID, and take a selfie. This helps show you’re the same person in the ID photo. Go slowly, and ask for help if you need it. When you finish, Plaid will show a message that your steps are complete.
- Enter your phone number.
- Enter the verification code sent to your phone.
- Enter your birth date.
- Make sure your information looks right. If something is wrong, update it before you continue.
- Wait for review. This may take a little time, and that’s normal.
6. Connect ShipStation to Trove
- Go back to ShipStation.
- Click Create First Production Key. This creates the code that lets Trove and ShipStation work together.
- Copy the key.
- Go back to your Trove Seller Dashboard.
- Open Shipping Settings.
- Paste the production key into the box.
- Click Save. This connects ShipStation to your Trove account.
- Review your carrier options. Choose the shipping carrier that works best for your packages.
- Go to Account → Carrier Billing.
- Click Add Funds and add a small amount, like $20-$25, so you can buy shipping labels. You can always add more later.
- Turn on Auto Add Funds if you want ShipStation to add more money automatically, when your balance gets low.
